Building is not pretty but we are slowly coming ou

Building is not pretty but we are slowly coming out of the ground and new foundations are now visible.

We have kept the lodges impact on the surrounding bush to a minimum reusing the existing footprint and foundations. We are also keeping all the previous buildings brick and concrete rubble to fill any new foundations. The intention is to have as little waste as possible and reuse whatever we can for the substructure. We were also able to remove all the burnt steal and send it off to be recycled.

We have sadly lost two epic trees around the lodge in the fire but we are conserving every standing tree around the lodge through out the build, hence the red tape tied all over the place. We will be replacing more trees with three new planter boxes around the main deck allowing for a couple of large trees and to conserve the green canopy for the numerous bird species and insects in and around us.

Still a long way to go but the ever changing scene has us super excited for the future.
